Purchase Process

➡️ We always strongly advise our customers to come and visit our yard to view the vehicle that has caught your eye. It is vital that you see it in person to ensure you are completely happy with your choice, and can check the condition, bodywork, headroom, and engine running etc for yourself.

We also have a huge amount of vehicles that are not currently listed on our website for various reasons due to our large and ever changing supply of stock. Often our customers will come to view one particular vehicle and will drive away in something completely different!

Therefore, it is best to see all of your options in person and invest in some time spent on our yard to have a 1-to-1 conversation with us and a thorough look at all of your options before parting with any money.

➡️ We understand that many of our customers are a lengthy travel away or work long hours during the week. We aim to match each of you with your perfect vehicle and would hate for you to miss out on this due to your day to day commitments.

If there is any reason you cannot come to view your chosen Basevan vehicle straight away, this can be secured for you on our yard for a negotiated period of time, for a £100 reservation fee.

If you do then decide to purchase the vehicle upon viewing, this will of course be taken off your final total

➡️ Once you have visited our yard and are satisfied with your choice of vehicle, we then require a 20% deposit to secure this in your name.

Depending on the condition of the individual vehicle, we may need to keep it on our yard for a short amount of time to carry out MOT testing, specific repairs or updates, or add any desired extras for you in our workshops.

➡️ When your vehicle is ready for collection (or delivery), please ensure that you have arranged insurance and tax, and the total final payment has been completed 24 hours prior to it leaving our yard.

Please note, unless otherwise agreed, we only accept a bank transfer through our business account.

Details of this will be provided upon viewing or deposit payment.

➡️ Please also ensure that you provide us with a correct name and address for both the logbook (V5) and the invoice for your purchase. Transfer of ownership will be arranged by us once the final payment has been received.
