Our van process
📝 When a vehicle arrives in stock at basevan we conduct some thorough inspections to ensure you, the customer, is buying a top quality van that will provide the perfect foundation for a home on wheels!
🗒️ Our checks consist of 2 inspections, one being a mechanical check where we use the DVSA’s official MOT checklist, and the other being more of a driver convinience check, to ensure comfort and reliability going forward.
What exactly is checked is as follows…

- Windscreen, wipers, and washers

- Doors, mirrors, and horn

- Reg plates and lamps

- Shock absorbers
- Loading doors, and bonnet
- Towbar (if present)
- General body and chassis condition
- Vehicle structure
- Braking systems
- Exhaust system
- Fuel system
- Power steering and steering components
- Suspension components and bushes
- Drive shafts and CV boots and joints
- Suspension
- Wheel bearings
- Mechanical components

What happens next?
🤔 After these inspections are carried out, we take a long hard look at the van and consider what we can do to suit our customers needs. This can range from full interior strip outs to de-stickering vehicles.
💦 After this, the vehicle is sent to our in house wash bay, where the vehicle will be valeted inside and out, and lifted on our 4 post ramp to clean the underside of the van prior to recording a video showing all areas not visible upon viewing.
📸 Then, its time to gather media. The van will be taken to our picture spot, where we take photos, and a walkaround video to ensure we have all angles covered.
💻 Then it’s just a matter of uploading the vehicle to our website for you to see! 🙂
