Iveco Daily

A really interesting vehicle!

Our 2011 IVECO daily, it’s an interesting one, boasting a rather unusual body style. Read on for more details!

The IVECO Daily is an incredible van, based on a HGV chassis giving superior strength to anything in its field. Designed by Giorgetto Giugaro, the mastermind behind some beautiful machines such as the Ferrari 250 GTO, DMC DeLorean, and the MK1 VW Golf. It is of course a different game here though, in the van world, with the daily needing to combine functionality and form, which it does so well!

Running gear

IVECO’s very good, 2.3L diesel engine is found under the bonnet, known for reliability, fuel economy, and adequate power and torque when you want to push on a touch.

Mated to Its 5 speed transmission, known to be a solid box, however losing a gear does mean losing a bit of versatility in urban areas. Despite this, it is known to be pretty robust so therefore can be seen as the better option to some!

The cab

In the cab there is 2 single seats, meaning the cab feels more spacious with 2 on board. There is an option, however, for a double seat to be swapped in if you dont feel that 3 is a crowd.

Aswell as being nice on the eye, the dashboard is made of very robust plastics, meaning they stand well to the old wear and tear.

The rear

This area is the one that matters the most, and the one that seperates this van from the crowd. It’s a large box made of fibreglass, PVC and aluminium with insulation, and even a fold out hatch revealing a Samsung HD TV on the outside of the van!

Also fitted is a Thule awning complete with sides and doors, giving you the perfect living space to cook, lounge, and watch TV on the before-mentioned exterior screen.

On the inside there is pretty of space, good width for a bed and a large amount of storage accessible by one side door, pretty common 0n modern motorhomes!

Overview

With these Iveco vans, you don’t really need to worry about the mileage of the vehicle, as the running gear and mechanical parts are built to a good standard, as is the chassis itself, with vans of this era known to be good for over 350k miles. With this van proving that fact very well

The one thing you really need to keep an eye on is corrosion, mostly on body panels underneath and wheel arches, which this van has no problems with as found on our inspections. We do provide an underseal service on all of our vans at additional cost so if you want to preserve the condition of your van going forward, this could be a good thing to look into.

As for the potential build, it’s a favourable square shape, with good width and with the right brains behind it, could be a really good finished product. Alternatively, there is an option for it t0 be used as a mobile office, or learning centre should your want to.
