About this vehicle

A former Ambulance, with low warranted mileage (48073), minimal corrosion as is expected from a van of this age, and an electrics conversion  in the back!

All of the bulky items removed from the van and the excess ambulance wiring. Reducing weight and enabling it to be now used for a variety of applications. The great thing about turning an ambulance to a campervan is that they come ready with insulation, a night heater, privacy glass and much more to your benefit!

Mechanical

This vehicle in particular is the best of the best when it comes to this shape van, with the sub optimal 2.0 or 2.2 engine NOT present under the engine bay. Instead this vehicle is blessed with the 3.0L SOFIM engine, commonly found in IVECOs and some Fiat ducato vans.

This engine in particular is know to be very reliable, and an engine with more torque and power than is counterparts, at a cost of MPG, of course.

6 speed transmission present here, too. Great reliability, and not had a huge level of abuse at this mileage. 6 gears is also in many ways convenient with shorter gears aswell as better comfort at motorway cruising speeds.

Currently no MOT on the vehicle, however it will be sold with a 12 month MOT taken care for by us, aswell as a fresh service to look after your vehicle going forward.

Conversion

This system is supported by two 110Ah batteries, which is charged from the solar and the split charger system. Furthermore, given the hook-up, we have also installed a Victron battery charger to offer another means of keeping the vans batteries topped up. This gives you a fully functioning off-grid capable camper, with a traditional hookup option at your disposal should you want to use it!

Size

A larger vehicle then most, this is the extra high roof variant of this vehicle boasts extreme standing height, paired with the boxy shape in the rear of these vans, gives you an option for a potential fold down bed, full static kitchen, great overhead storage… or you could even go down the route of a high-rise static bed with a larger garage underneath to store things like fresh water bottles, camping chairs or anything else you could imagine!
