⭐ On the fence ⭐

❗This vehicle is a fully functioning disabled passenger patient transport ambulance. Which also includes a blue light emergency function, with the vehicle having both blue lights and a siren onboard controlled from the cab on its original set-up that was built in 2016 by the coach builder Wilker.

❗Given this and the scarcity of low mileage, fully functional ambulances. One could suggest that with a bit of vinyl, this van can be returned to its former status as a blue-light ambulance.Having said this, it would also make a terrific base vehicle for a camper conversion project. Already carrying the essentials such as heaters, saloon lights, insulation and more.

❗With our new fixed bed and table kits we craft in house for these vehicles, this van is the ambulance of today, and the Campervan of tomorrow.

❗Boasting excellent spec, we have been impressed by the quality of wilkers ambulance conversion with many extras, tidy craftsmanship and straightforward building when compared to its counter parts like papworth or O&H.

⭐ Bodywork⭐

❗In the photos you can see that this ex ambulance has been through the full de-stickering process, and the paint underneath still in perfect condition, the only thing this van warrants is perhaps a few hours its a machine polisher. Only 1 dent on the near side, just in front of the rear wheel, this can be seen in the photos but worry not as it does not pose a risk to the structural integrity or drivability of the vehicle.

❗Please note that we have comprehensive workshop facilities and can quote for any bodywork corrections, including machine polishing at an additional fee.

⭐ Mechanical ⭐

❗Renaults 2.3dci engine can be found under the bonnet of this vehicle, as it can with all 3rd generation masters/ 2nd generation movanos. This engine is no slouch where torque is concerned, paired with a 6 speed gearbox, its a good fit for todays roads.

❗We have been selling Renault powered vehicles for countless years here at basevan, and the reason for this is that they have proven to be drama-free engines, rarely any catastrophic issues, minimal running and maintenance costs, and decent fuel economy for a van of its size at 30.5 mpg on average.

⭐ Tachograph ⭐

❗This vehicle is operating a tachograph as a consequence of its overall gross weight exceeding 3500kg, at 3890kg.Please note this could be downplated to 3500kg and thus the tachograph would becomes redundant and could be driven on a standard category B license.

⭐ Equipment⭐

❗Interior wise, this ex ambulance remains fully kitted out, with a working diesel heater, full piping by oxylitre including ports for bottles, and then the outlet for other equipment on the other end.
Also included is a fully functional stretcher and mounts, saloon lights with 2 settings available (see video below), a working hydraulic tail ramp, and many more gadgets these ambulances need to serve people in need.
On the outside we have working blue lights, a siren, and finished in the signature pale yellow found on ambulances across the country.

❗This van has passed all but 1 MOTs that it’s taken. The most recent MOT commenced on 28/11/23, and will expire on 27/11/24. Sent through by us and passing with no advisories, we can assure you this vehicle is in perfect working condition.

❓This MOT was a retest however, as its initial MOT was a failure.
It failed on the following:

● Offside Front Lower Suspension arm ball joint excessively worn (5.3.4 (a) (i))
● Offside Front Tyre has a cut in excess of the requirements deep enough to reach the ply or cords (5.2.3 (d) (i))
